What you get in the box

This page is the inventory, not a pitch deck. If something is listed here, it is because NZ operators keep asking for it or tripping over it elsewhere.

Glovebox is meant to cover the full job: the widget on your site, the money movement, the GST and RUC arguments, CoF dates, the bond before pickup, and the handoff to Xero. One stack that stops pretending Auckland is in another country’s timezone.

Bookings

Bookings and the widget

You embed the booking flow on your own site. The customer never gets kicked to a generic subdomain that looks nothing like your brand. Availability, pricing rules, and confirmations run behind the widget.

Customer profiles stick around across hires so you are not re-typing the same licence details every time someone comes back for a long weekend.

Bookings

The widget lives on your site. Customers never leave your brand.

Money

Windcave first. Stripe Connect alongside. Bonds the way NZ expects.

Money

Payments, deposits, bonds

Windcave is the primary path for NZ card flows. Stripe Connect sits alongside where your setup needs it. Hire charges, deposits, and bonds follow what customers here expect, not what a US help article guesses.

Automated capture before pickup is there so you are not manually chasing card holds on the morning of every handover.

Tax and paper

GST, RUC, and the paperwork fight

Pricing and hire agreements are GST-native. RUC sits in the model where it belongs so you are not explaining the same exemption twice to your accountant. The goal is fewer “can your system do this in New Zealand?” emails to support.

Fleet

Compliance and fleet visibility

Hire vehicles need CoF tracking, not WoF wording copied from a generic fleet app. Service intervals, vehicle status, and a calendar view help you see what is due before it becomes a roadside problem. Locations are first-class so multi-yard operators are not fighting the software to mirror how they actually work.

Accounts

Xero and the back office

Xero sync cuts down the daily reconciliation drag: fewer manual journals, fewer “where did this payment land?” afternoons. Reporting stays tied to the same bookings your front desk already confirmed.

Glovebox Websites

Most NZ operators still pay a separate bill for a Wix, Squarespace, or agency site that does not talk to availability or pricing. Glovebox Websites sit inside the same platform: fleet data, rates, and availability update together instead of you copying numbers by hand.

Studio is the first theme available now — a deliberately neutral chrome that takes its accent colour from your brand. More themes are in build for different rental categories, with Coastal next up. Custom domains are on the roadmap so your public URL stays yours.

Founding members get this included at no extra cost. If you signed up on a founding plan, your operator workspace can switch on Studio today — no separate website subscription to stack on top.

Moving over

Leaving VEVS or the spreadsheet maze

Switching off VEVS or a pile of spreadsheets is a migration conversation, not a magic overnight flip. We support imports where they make sense and parallel running while you trust the new numbers. You pick the cutover week; we do not pretend a button replaces that judgement call.
