Revenue Stack calculator
Everyone assumes the money is in renting the cars. The margin lives in the stack wrapped around the hire. Put in your fleet and see it. Every assumption below is visible and yours to edit.
Figures marked from product come from real defaults in Glovebox. Figures marked estimate have no product default yet and are illustrative starting points based on our own NZ fleets, for you to replace with your numbers.
Your fleet
Excess reduction
estimate · 10 to 70%
from product · $25 to $45/day
estimate · share paid back as claims
The book has a ceiling. Push the attach rate or premium too hard and complaints and chargebacks follow, so this figure honestly caps out.
Upsells
Prices from product · attach rates estimate. Per-day items shown as an average charge per hire.
Every upsell is inventory and admin. Chains and seats earn their keep in season; some add-ons cost more in handling than they return.
Recovered extras
Excess km is billed at 50 cents per km over 250 km/day (our real rate); fuel at $35 per level step. The average charge per hire and the incidence rates are estimates.
These leak when tracked by hand. The money is real but only lands if excess km, fuel and late returns are actually captured at return.
Damage recovery
All four are estimates awaiting an approved range.
This is the pre-pickup story in arithmetic. Strong evidence at handover is the difference between recovering a panel bill and eating it.
